Kiersten Pollard<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p>Dr. Pollard is a board certified ophthalmologist fellowship-trained in medical and surgical management of diseases of the retina and vitreous. She specializes in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma, complex cataract removal, diabetes, retinal tears or holes, macular surgery, and retinal detachments.<\/p>\r\n<p>As an ophthalmologist and MIT trained neuroscientist, Dr. Pollard has published research papers and worked in several research laboratories. As an assistant instructor at the University of Texas she enjoyed teaching medical students and ophthalmology residents, but what she really loves is the personal connection of caring for patients, and satisfaction of fixing ocular problems through surgery.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dr. Pollard was born in Evanston, WY and grew up in Denver, CO. As part of her education and surgical training she has had the opportunity to live in many different places and is very happy to be back in Colorado, and to call Grand Junction home.
